The NAR's Latest Housing Numbers: Cutting Through the Bull [View article]
I love the way they spin the nubmers and try to excite the masses. And it's definitely working cuz everyone's talking about buying..etc.. I guess the cows always get slaughtered. If you truely look at housing prices and trends you'd realize we're in for another long drought in sales and prices. See what I'm talking about here:
Mortgage Delinquencies in Canada Nowhere Near as Low as U.S. [View article]
What's wrong with American's, why are we so greedy?? Can't we be more like the canadians. They have a better health system, they have better lifestyles (less fat people), a better Canadian Idol! And way better and stable housing. If you doubt that, look at how much home prices have dropped for the americans the past 3 years!!
Gretchen Morgenson digs into the bond rating agencies: "As it rode the mortgage wave, Moody’s came to enjoy profit margins that were higher than those of the mightiest of Fortune 500 companies, including Exxon and Microsoft." [View news story]
Great news, this'll definitely help the value of my home.. hahaha another 5% loss here and there.. quarterly! oh well follow it here..u will see my house drop the most..
Residential Real Estate: Erosion Ahead [View article]
According to a survey conducted at Home Price Trends, only about 17% feels home prices will fall past 2015. So the American public is still pretty optimistic about prices.
Bond Trading Trends Warn of Deflation [View article]
It's pretty much common sense that this is going to be a long term downfall. Rebound in March/April is extremely optimistic. I see more declines for the next 5 years. Think about this, the major corporations are still in the process of laying off workers and the affects of those layoffs will not be seen for another year or so when people start to realize they can't afford to live the way they live currently. That will lead to more homes going into foreclosure and more people not spending. The goverment will need to cut back more and more of the next few years as the tax revenue will not be there. Our big crash will continue well into 2011.. A recent survey conducted at this site shows that over 95% of those surveyed believe we have not bottomed!
Median Housing Prices Poised to Fall Back Below $200K [View article]
Yeah it's dropping like flies on a pile of POOPOO.. It's like a domino effect. So far some of the wealthier neighborhoods have not experienced the same price drops as the lower end. But this will eventually happen also. Cities like Newport Beach will suffer also. The trends from this website is pretty good in showing the rate that homes are falling in different cities across the USA.
The Economics and Ethics of Mortgage Default [View article]
I think the goverment and corporate heads are out to confuse the heck out of everyone with this mumbo jumbo rebate..etc These stimulus packages aren't working or our home prices wouldn't continue to go down at it's current pace. If you look at the trend you will agree with me that none of these goverment interventions are working!
I think we just need to cut the BS and stop raising Taxes. These stimulus packages are crap when it's money that was taken from us originally. It's not helping to lower the prices of our homes. Look at the current trend, everyone is losing a big chunk in the value of their house on a weekly basis!
Prosecutors Going after Fraudulent Mortgage Borrowers [View article]
This is good news in my books. The fraudelent borrowers are one third of the crooks. I blame them for putting my home at risk of default. It's currently barely above the point that I would have to sale. I'm hoping it doesn't go down any lower but according to this survey, many believe home prices are set to fall for another 3 to 5 years!
The Wealth Effect of House Price Declines [View article]
Home price being the biggest money pit for most middle class citizen, it's not surprising as the value of homes continue to go down the more citizens are either filing bankruptcy or just getting foreclosed on their property.
Recession? National Lampoon Finds It Funny [View article]
I think that's about the only thing that doing well in this economy. Atleast it's something we can all laugh about. I mean with the depressing situation in the stock market and other financial market it's really hard to get a laugh. Look at the housing market, it's been down year over year and more downward trend is expected the next 5 to 10 years! Look at the recent survey conducted at Home price trend.
The Current Economic Crisis: Hell, Meet Handbasket [View article]
RE: Boulder I'm just as depressed as you are or even worst. I'm not sure if i can make my next payment. Might have to file for bankrupcy. My home price just went below what i owe.. banks are bugging..Take a peek at Riverside! It's disgusting:
Pray to the lord that our economy recovers as more and more middle class workers will be out of a home this coming year! Prices keep declining and jobs keep declining. Look at the trend, it's crazy:
Yes I did miss on buying MO stock and instead I bought two property. Things looked real good at first but things have been sour lately. I'm hoping the trend would stop soon but I'm not too optimistic when I check the home price trend at this site weekly. It seems to be going down on a weekly basis in Riverside, CA.
