Apple suppliers and their ability to create the parts for and assemble millions of iProducts have long been a strength and a profit driver, however, I'd love love love to see a state-of-the-art, mostly off-limits to outside eyes Apple plant built right here in the USA with machines and robots turning out these products so quickly, efficiently, and without error that it would make your head spin. Also, the opportunity exists to make it run on something crazy, like wind/solar/bacon grease : )

I'm thinking the watch will be an amped up hands free device, rather than in the ear, on the wrist. Probably a screen showing who is calling, and a little bit of memory and wi-fi capability in case someone wants to wear it independently. It'll be pretty neat and it will certainly sell well, but probably by far not the coolest thing we'll see from AAPL pre-holiday 2013.

Regarding AAPL, my bet is the little trick they pulled with Wal-Mart toward the end of the Christmas season mutually benefited both companies, with Wal-Mart picking up the full amount of the discount in order to generate more foot traffic for an otherwise slower holiday season, and AAPL selling a heck of a lot more iPhones. Big Red had previously disclosed it activated 9.8M smartphones in the quarter. CFO Fran Shammo says about half of the iPhone sales involved the iPhone 5 - that remark comes as UBS points to survey data indicating a mix shift towards older and lower-capacity iPhone models. Some of it is AAPLs fault due to their secrecy and silence - when you have no input into the conversation the other person can say whatever they want as often as they want, and that is what is happening.
