The SEC would have to pay for all the capital lost due to government malfeasance, if Madoff investors are to receive any more than SIPC monies split as far as the protection limits allow.

The SEC should be liable for ANY and ALL of my loses with respect to the market over the last, say, 10 years for their malfeasance, if we are to follow ellen hannigan's logic above.

Because Cox cozied up to the hedges, at the expense of real investors, and let them run amuk with shorting the crap out of the market, most of the honest investors have suffered great loses, totalling TRILLIONS.

What's in it for us?

Certainly, our sleazy governemnt can't take care of Madoff's orphans alone....
