I am old-fashion. The Bank's name "BankUnited" is just too generic in the look and feel. Moreover, it is even confusing let alone to be distinguished. Come to think about it, there are just so many similar or lookalike names around, United Bank, United Bankshare Incorporated of WV, the old defunct United Bank, an S&L, there is always that United Something, Inc., Ltd.

I propose to change the name of the Bank back to its good old grass root household name of the Barnett Bank. When I was in Florida on vacation many years ago, I was impressed with this name - it conveys a feeling of something Regal about it.
