If the Big 3 auto companies would had talked to the oil companies about lowering the price of fuel, maybe people would had purchased new vehicles. When the price of fuel was $4.00/gal no one had money. Now people hold onto what they have. Why didn't the automobile manufactures talk to the oil companies about lowering the price of fuel?
