Icahn Swims Against the Tide, Increases Yahoo Holdings

Do not count Yahoo out as a independent company Carl. I know your wise and do not do nutty things. So think. With the current business & financial environment Yahoo is even better positioned to grow than is Google. In fact I think Google is going to hit some wet pavment soon.

If I were running Yahoo. I would beef up the financial pages, improve the news, reinvest time in Yahoo 360 to build on base of loyal fans and tied to the largest internet mail in the world - Yahoo Mail ! I choose to be paid Yahoo Mail customer. I like the classic (hate the new one). Because its Yahoo the new one is a copy of the other guys ! Stop that, be original. Be true to thy self ! Then Yahoo will prosper.
PS - Bring me on board. lol

Yang's Departure Reflects How Yahoo Was Broken

It's nice to hear the voice of someone who has been working for Yahoo. As a customer since before they were public. I have strong ties to the company as my provider to everything online. I use so many Yahoo services and products. I want the company to be Yahoo. Not some division of some mega company with no heart.

Does heart have anything to do with business? Many like the rader would say no. But, I think we forget that the American Dream and American business component that foreigners do not and will never understand is: "Business is Personal" when it is it also has passion. Passion creates businesses that defy logic sometimes and have made the USA the success it has become.

So send me to Yahoo....save it, build it, respect the staff, give them clear goals and direction. Have fun - Make money and server the customer. How I wish they would listen to me....but,

There is more to a company than stock price. YAHOO is one of these. The focus on Jerry Yang has been to drive him into the ground. But, this Chief Yahoo has been trying to keep his ship together for the workers, the investors and partners. Every Yahoo Mail and Yahoo 360 person is or should be considered a part of the extended family of Yahoo.

The reason YAHOO has been in trouble is because they have stupid MBA types ignoring the base customer. The Yahoo mail user, the Yahoo 360 writer, the Yahoo Finance people who are dedicated to the company products. If I were in charge, this company would grow, and eventually go private.
