I'm an active, but small-time investor. I am a patrol sergeant on a local county Sheriff's Dept., and able to keep a close eye on the market and my investments while at work most of the time. I have done well in the past year, after taking an initial bath and surviving it in 2009 when I began trading. I follow Seeking Alpha and several other web sites actively. I also teach four classes throughout the year at a local community college.
