    I am having trouble with a high correlation between the SP500 and the Aussie dollar.

    I think there may be some incorrect thinking here and an opportunity. As the UD dollars drops in unison with US commodity demand, commodities only get cheaper for the rest of the world. This can only help the Aussie dollar, which is in close proximity to China. China could support internal growth for decades and still not reach a first world standard of living.
