I see the FED and TREASURY are trying to support the USD. But, unless the surreal deficit spending and trade are brought to balance, there is no way the USD can become strong. I see no sense in the Congress or in the Executive branch to deal with the real problems. Second, all these insane loans given out, were done of pure greed and those responsible should be jailed for life.

Gold is volatile because the central banks want us to believe in printed paper, not gold and silver or other real assets. Their game of cheating is over if the general population loses faith in their monopoly money. Obviously, very powerful forces are at work here, but for ultimate safety gold is still where its at.

Thanks for a very interesting article. I bought shares in VGPMX for under $9 several years ago, and they are near $40, ditto for TGLDX. They are about the only investments I have no complaint with at this time.
I see so much value right now, particularly in the miners, energy, and in the oversold highly profitable tech companies, that I cannot see the selling continuing much longer in these. The world has not ended!
