Why 'Buy American' Hurts America

If "free trade" is so great for America was does America have on the largest trade deficits.....exactly how does that help America? People continue to buy foreign made cars that are NOT better in quality and durability...but are more expensive than cars made in America...how does that help America? Jpan exports millions of vehicles to he US annually but allows fewer than 25,000 US vehicles into Japan annually...how does that help America? Finally, if the US car companies go down (GM, Ford , Chrysler), imports will go up in price an average of 15 to 20% and the Ameriucan consumer will have no alternative....suspect that transplants will begin closing as well as the importers would rather see this industrial production in their home countries...how does this help America? There si s reason why industrialized country after industrialized country maintainas and supposrts a healthy car industry....because it is important to their economy, scientific innovation, and even political stability.....that helps America.
