Big Bank vs. Big Car: The Bailouts Have Just Begun

UH2L, I too know a little about the automobile business. As a manager in both GM and Chrysler dealerships I was the guy in the trenches shackled with the burden of trying to make the consumer happy with what you designed, engineered, tooled up and manufactured. I could fill volumes with my observed mis-steps on GM's part through the years. I don't pretend to know all the answers but I cannot help but feel that people are going to continue to drive. Someone is going to build the cars, supply the parts, build the factories, manage the companies, advertise the product, etc. even if we do not prop up the 'Big 3'. The consumer has been voting with their feet for years. It is long overdue, have a little faith in capitalism and let the chips fall.
