    It's hard for me to believe how many are in denial right now. The arguement for SaaS is staring customers in the face. The comments about reliability and security might be true but... What is the real, average security level of most IT shops? How many patch cycles have been delayed? How much reliability has been built into most "in-house" software deployments?

    The answer is - these things get pushed back and kicked down the road all the time. Yes, buyer beware, but also don't deny that at the same time, the in-house systems and practices are failing victim to fewer resources and longer purchasing cycles. Reliability and security should be and are key features of market leading SaaS offerings. If they aren't the vendor should fail.
