Cisco Systems Now Relying on EZchip

Alcatel-Lucent's 7750 Service Router has been shipping with a 100G NPU since July 2008 (the internally developed FP2 chipset sampled in 2007, 2 years ahead of comparable merchant silicon). As a result, it's the only service provider edge router currently delivering >40G per slot and is 100G ready.
