  • Snowball Down A Hill: My Dividend Growth Portfolio 2013-2014 Report [View article]
When we have a stock that we feel we have an abundant number of shares (and dividends), rather than selling any shares, we just don't reinvest the dividends and instead direct them to another holding. Don't know if that makes sense, or not !

  • Celgene's Revlimid: Sales To $8B? Patent To 2023? [View article]
I have commented before on Revlimid which my husband has been taking since he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2011. It seems that no matter what the drug "cocktail" in favor is, it always includes Revlimid. One of the reasons we invested in shares of Celgene is we've always read to invest in products we understand ! So far, it's been a wise investment for us in more ways than one.

  • Celgene: FDA Approvals Shining The Biopharma Stock [View article]
My husband was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2011. I think it's important to consider that Revlimid is not necessarily facing "meaningful" competition from Velcade or Kyprolis. From his experience, Revlimid was used during his initial therapy and continues to be used currently in combination with these other drugs - they compliment each other when treating the disease. Currently, my husband is on Revlimid and Kyprolis. He was not able to tolerate Velcade due to peripheral neuropathy issues often caused by that drug.

  • The Question No One Asks GE [View article]
I inherited shares of GE from my father who owned the stock for probably close to 50 years +. It was always good to him ... paying a nice, steady dividend that he could count on. After I inherited his stock, I sold it down to 15,000 shares and have been "holding on" because of his history of owning GE. He would probably be rolling in his grave right now! I still can't bring myself to sell it always thinking, it will return to where it was before ... seems like a lot of things go back to where they were. Am I dreaming???

  • 8 Stocks With CEO Buys of Over $100,000 in the Past Week [View article]
Seems to me that $880,000 is probably walkin' around money to Immelt. Could it be a result of President Obama's meeting with the various CEO's ... asking them to give him a hand in righting this lousy economy?
