  • More on Apple: Berenberg's Adnaan Ahmad has downgraded shares to Sell from Buy, while also cutting his rating on Samsung (SSNLF.PK). With smartphone growth now fueled by emerging markets, "Apple and Samsung margins are peaking and growth is going to be driven by the margin-dilutive mid-to-low-end segment," he argues. Also, Citi has cut its PT to $480, citing weaker iPhone 5 and regular iPad demand. Citi, which cut Apple to Neutral in December, now expects March and June quarter iPhone sales of 34M and 25M, below a consensus of 37M and 32M. AAPL -0.2%[View news story]
i am tired to receive these kind of messages....very intuitive to sell at 425....instead of 700.....

  • After digesting Samsung's Q4, IDC thinks the company sold 63.7M smartphones in Q4, +76% Y/Y and good for a 29% share (+650 bps). Apple's 47.8M iPhone sales (+29%) yielded a 21.8% share (-120 bps). Low-end Android juggernaut Huawei became the world's #3 vendor with a 4.9% share (+140 bps). #4 Sony's share rose 60 bps to 4.5%. Nokia and RIM didn't make the top-5. Total smartphone growth is pegged at 36.4% (down from Q3's 45.3%), but total mobile phone growth at just 1.9%. Smartphones made up 45.5% of phone sales. • I'd Pay $400 For 'This Apple' [View article]
i was in love with apple share and i lose money, and i will never bet long on apple. now from outside i can see a few things.
    1. apple has a lot of money but is not interested in share price
    2. apple has a lot of supply shortage but is not interested to solve them using a lot of this amount of money (self component production)
    3. tim cook does not respect the shareholders...after last earnings they have no intentions to defend the price
    4. after such a sell off is hard to find again buyers to move up the price
    5. there is no other market in which apple can invent a new product to generate such a tremendous amount of money like in mobile data (phones and tablets)... even an itv will not generate so much amount of money because of life-cycle which is longer than at phones

i am looking at this guys who are cutting the price target now....how ridiculous people...where are you andy zaky with 1000 price target a few moth ago?

  • Verizon Wireless (VZ, VOD) says it expect to report 9.8M smartphone activations, "with a higher mix of Apple smartphones," for Q4. That figure is up 29% from the 7.7M smartphones activated a year ago, and 44% from the 6.8M activated in Q3 (46% of them were iPhones). Verizon's Y/Y growth rate is easily above that of AT&T (T - previous), which is more iPhone-dependent, but its Q/Q rate is slower. The smartphone sales, together with strong indirect channel growth, will lead to a slight Y/Y drop in EBITDA service margin. VZ -0.5%. AAPL -0.7%. (CEO remarks: I, II) Update: Verizon PR tells Seeking Alpha the iPhone mix was higher relative to both Q3 (46% of smartphone sales) and Q4 2011 (56%). [View news story]
the best way to invest in apple now is a long pending position (buy stop) upper than SMA 50 DAY (now at 549 and decreasing 2 per day probably around 530 before earnings)....
so if you put a buy stop at 535 lets say before the earnings and the earnings wil be very good (which is most probably) when the market will open next day at 560-580 you can take the difference...

  • Apple's (AAPL -0.3%) recent selloff has been enough to make Jim Cramer turn bullish. "We think this is a buying opportunity for the long term — a 10% discount for a company trading at 10x [EPS], excluding cash," says the animated Mad Money host. He touts Apple's product line and $120/share in cash, as well as early iPhone 5 demand. (Nomura) (Sterne Agee[View news story]
look at technical at apple...leave fundamental... yesterday just was rejected by ema 100 daily, and this was third tie this year, and in the other two times a 10 percent rally was done in the following 2 weeks...so be prepared for 680-690 quicker than you believe..also you can draw a line between the minimum daily from november 2011, dec 2011 and july 2012, and surprize the yesterday close just validated the upper trend...lots of pips ..
