New Proposal Favors Sunrise Powerlink, Over Environmentalists' Objections

Truth of the matter is the powerline is not needed at all. San Diegans need to generate power at the source which means in-basin photovoltaics.

UCSD has embarked on a ambitious plan to generate all of their own energy by putting solar panels on all of its parking structures and large buildings.
Why doesn't SDG&E take the money that this powerline would cost and help homeowners do the same?

Oh that's right. We may become energy independent.
