There is an old proverb that says "Good judgement comes from experience, experience comes from bad judgement". That describes my investing career. In the dotcom era we threw darts at the Nasdaq and invested accordingly. The results were instructive. Years made me much wiser and my strategy now aligns around careful research, finding value in growth, and hedging with covered calls. My positions are built in multiple buys and the first is typically too high. My favorite plays are often based on AAPL teardown reports. I am an individual investor, not a professional. I work as a software architect for a Fortune 500 company. In my spare time I enjoy history, music, art and I actually am a serious Zen student.
