Rejuvenating sulfated lead acid battery is nothing new. Charging a lead acid battery to extra full (even using some complicate algorithms) could partially reduce crystallization. However I doubt every serious application would use this method, not even worth the trouble. Imagine human resources have to be employed in the tedious work of culling the bad battery, disentangling/remounting it from the string, lifting it around to a special instrument and spending hours to rejuvenate that battery and doing this kind of work all the time.

For AGMs, this method is particularly limited as AGM is an enclosed design therefore no pure water could be added for the loss from charging process and ordinary usage.

For a battery geek or lab researcher, however, it is fun to play with those. I once trilled a hole on a failed battery shell to deplete electrolyte first. Then added pure water before doing cycles of recharging with algorithms I learned from an old textbook. Finally I added electrolyte back and sealed the battery. The battery seemed to improve a lot. I never want to repeat that process again though.

Oddly I trust the numbers he's talking about. But I do not think he intends to be a kinda firm hand.

Anyway, I think it is a good time to say, as I plan to take a few days break which I already did in regard to my gym,
    Merry Christmas, guys!

They have to find something to prevent workers in their li-ion battery factory from becoming amateur carpenters. It is good for them to admit AGM is not capable for ASS system.

  • Nvidia's Tegra 4: Analyzing The Leaked Information [View article]
    Paul,
Nvidia's mobile department brings negative operating margin to the whole company by some 17% percent(? my poor memory ). Therefore if the next tegra proved to be a hit, one could safely expect an huge earning boost.
And I do not believe there is a survival problem for them remotely on the horizon.
Mr Eassa once wrote a fine post covering some of your concerns but I failed to locate it.

6x seems moderately better than average for 2013. Tegra3 is a low end product that everyone else with an ARM design nowadays claiming 100%-400% performance advantage. Those claims are not always true though.
