6.5 million? It sounds too good to be true.
My calculation of end-May or mid-September is about 4 metric ton import each representing about 1.6 million revenue. And we don't know whether NS 999 order is included in last Q.
I missed many discussions from concentrator 146 due to endless daily chores. Something great happened during my absence these days?

Maybe the Hyperloop is a kind of vacuum tube transportation system ( http://bit.ly/Qfz3Cr and http://bit.ly/SH39Bz ) which has been dreamed for decades.

And of course, I hail Musk the Great for his attempt to implement this kind of system as long as I watch on the sidelines or across the Pacific for margin of safety.

Thanks as always. When A123's bankrupt story became a case study of any business school, your article would be the must-read. And I am so lucky to get it for free.

From an SC 13D/A file dated Oct 19th, the figure of shares outstanding, as of October 1, 2012, is 313,900,610 . See Item 5, Note 3 http://1.usa.gov/SbyXeQ .

Therefore some calculations above may need revisited.

Sandy forces stock market to be closed through Tuesday. http://bit.ly/Sty4Bd

And if a remaining big seller plans to dump half a million shares in the last three days of October, he may stick to the plan on Wednesday, Oct 31.

“This equates to more than a 300% improvement in LIB capacity and an estimated 70% reduction in lifetime cost for batteries used in consumer electronics, EVs, and grid-scale energy storage,” said CalBattery CEO Phil Roberts.

I think the reporter just ignored the fine distinction between cost and lifetime cost. 70% reduction in lifetime cost does not mean much as PbC could endure 2500 full cycles, one could safely claim PbC's lifetime cost is only one-fifth of a normal AGM battery if customers have to do that many deep cycles.

    iindelco,
we have discussed this before in concentrator 87.
    http://seekingalpha.co...

    From deamiter's kind comment,
"It looks like their stratagies have changed over time. Early on, they covered a range of countries (in the first patent listed). Then, perhaps for financial reasons, they only filed in the US. Most recently, they filed in a list of countries not including Europe (although they filed EP applications in 2007, perhaps just to leave their options open at the time). I'm not sure whether they're trying to cover manufacturing or sales in Mexico, India and China although maybe somebody knowledgable in the manufacture and markets for advanced Lead-acid batteries could comment.

These are all "item and method of making electrodes or batteries" patents so I don't see any obvious regional strategies based on a novice's understanding of the details.

IIRC, kurray's coconut factory is located in Philippines, where coconuts are abundant I suppose.

And I bet in that particular year service guys would only recharge the battery to fullness and dismiss disgruntled car owners who would turn off S/S function when that warranty expires.

Sri Lanka, wow, the kingdom of lions or Simhalauipa where buddha himself made his first revelation 25 centuries or more ago after his nirvana, though I have to find a map to pinpoint it. Have a nice trip.

My theory or pure conjecture is last week one of the last two big sellers (except Q) willing to take any loss left the war room and that is why we observed a pattern change of trading lately.

The sole seller now does not have to compete with others and feels quite content with 30 cents, therefore providing "unlimited" shares for the last few days.

Pure, complete and ignorant conjecture, of course. All I want is to be the first commenter in the next concentrator. What? already lost out on that competition?

Hope at least one of them knows the merits of PbC and wants to provide their customers with quality products. And it seems to me asian OEMs move faster.
