Target Decides to Let Stock Languish

Why should Target jump at a risky bad deal during a recession? So it can get back to what it would be at in non recession times? I think Target management needs to stay the course and wait for the country to get out of its funk instead of jumping through hoops for activists who lost half their investment and are desperate to recoup it.
