High Gold Prices: It's the Oil, Stupid [View article]
It's the coal lobby. STUPID. The rural electrification act was probably the best thing our gov't ever invested in to increase productivity and the standard of living at a time when all of our energy was domestically produced. Now it is time for the rural and urban gasification act

Canadian oil trusts and reits are going to loose their trust status and be converted to corporations that pay income taxes and will probaly be forced to lower their dividends substantially I think in 2011. This will unfortunately require some rethinking. Your idea of investing in companies that pay in other currencies has merit, but I would stickk to countries who are natrual resource based. 7 Ways to Profit from Asphalt and Highway Construction [View article]
Concrete may or may not be cheaper, but it is almost always used in new highway construction at least in the northeast where I live. Rural town roads and such are paved initially with blacktop( asphalt) as are driveways and most city streets. Asphalt is used as a repair surface after concrete highways wear out. I wouldn't expect this ratio to change much regardless of the prices of the two materials.

Know nothing, YOU MAKE SOME GOOD POINTS BUT YOUR FIRST STATEMENT IS OUT OF LINE. It leads one to believe you are the only person in the country that knows anything and have a total grasp on the entire situation. No one is that smart and all knowing. Don't blame you for being angry, the congress has failed for so many years to act responsibily and protect and defend us. To busy pointing fingers at everyone else.
