    Retail sales. Chain store sales fell 4.3% in the five weeks of June, Redbook said, worse than the -4.1% expected...that should calm the green shoots cheerleaders again.

    On RIMM's defense, there were some competitive issues going on with the company on Wednesday. I however agree with you that this rally is all about hope and we should get prepared for much worse things down the road.

    Why should we care? The market wants to go up. Who cares that we are getting manipulated by the FED and the US treasury? Just keep buying. What a crappy market!
