  • J. C. Penney: How Pennies Make Dollars [View article]
I believe that JC Penney is setting itself to be bought out by a hunter like soros ... acker is out is Blackrock in??? What about Warren Buffett... he likes value and you presented an excellent value picture.
world market was done to less than a $1.00 a share... slowly it inched itself up to over $15 a share when it was bought by Bed Bath and Beyond... at a fire sale price...

Now who is going to step up to the plate... i lost a few buck when it was in the mid $20.. It may be worth a second look now.... but then i was foolish by now turning a profit on Sears holdings when it was $195 per share. now look at this bloated company... but at least lampert bought auto zone while spending no time with sears... whattta bum... back to penneys are you in or are you out.?/ i am out because retail is out ... but buffett says you must be greedy when others are needy are you needy???

  • A New York court is due to start a hearing today over whether it should approve Bank of America (BAC) $8.5B agreement to settle claims with investors over soured mortgage bonds. While heavyweights such as BlackRock (BLK) and Goldman Sachs (GS) support the deal, it faces opposition from AIG (AIG), which says it has $10.5B worth of claims against BofA. Approval of the agreement would enable the bank to take a major step in cleaning up the mess it inherited when it bought Countrywide. [View news story]
