    My best asset class is land and water in the midwest. 7 generations survived on a farm. And plenty burn for energy. The original renewable energy is wood. The last asset i'll never sell. Two credit cards will buy all the supplies to build a house. Too many people today have no personal experience about the great depression. My Parents were born then and tell how poor they were. But Farmers survived by livingoff the land. Today are cities are becoming lawless havens for gangs. And bloated city and state governments are not sustainable. Forget the 401 k drops. A majority have none. 2/3 Social Security recipients live solely on this. It will be 90 % in 10 years.

    Vote no on the props will force some cuts. Dems may win the battles but CA is losing the war. Already shortfalls in Aprils tax collections in the billions. What started out as a 13 B shortfall grew to 42B. Soon to be 60 for just 1.5 years. I'm voting No n May 19th. Taxes and fees are run away. SF is raising parking again. Plus Bus fares by 33%. Ah the glory days were fun.

    As CA fights a budget battle it lays off Police. And a Bay area State Assembly member wants to ban gun shows at theCow Palace. Maybe as he drives his little Prius to from Sacramento he will experience the wrath of East Oakland some day. CA cannot continue to absorb illegals. A welfare state can only survie as long a revenues flow in. And the Federal government can only bail out states for a few years. Yep, America and CA is doomed. As goes CA so goes the country.

    25 years ago I moved here. What a different palce today. Blue coastal counties voting more and more progessives and mandating more programs and taxes. CA is beyond saving. State and local government benefits and retirements are not sustainable.

    Water ! Hoover Dam us dropping so fast Las Vegas is building a new intake as the current ones will be above the water level in 8 years. CA AZ & NV have a huge problem coming. But no Democrats will allow more dams in CA. The population growth is not sustainable. Retirees are leaving and taking out thier money leaving more lower income who pay no taxes but use services.
