  • Why ConocoPhillips Is Undervalued Right Now [View article]
I thought your article was great. I have been reading a lot of bullish articles on COP and it makes me feel like a winner because I bought a pretty nice chunk of it when it was around $51 or so long before the spin-off. I am long on both COP and BBEP. Thanks for the read.

  • ConocoPhillips (COP) urges Norway to open up more of its Arctic waters for development, citing the country's ice-free waters, access to the European natural gas market and skilled workforce. Efforts to exploit the Arctic's vast energy reserves have provided a target for environmental activists, but especially in areas with heavier sea ice cover, such as Alaska[View news story]
agreed - long on COP, maybe STO someday

  • Not worried about QE3 and prepayment risk as much as one might expect, American Capital (AGNC) CIO Gary Kain notes (transcript) 70% of his company's holdings are backed by lower loan balance mortgages. With mortgage origination operations running at full capacity, a $100K refinance is going to get pushed to the back of the line. "You really need ... 150 or more basis points of incentive ... then you start to see (lower loan balance refis) pick up." [View news story]
Part-Time, Long-term Investor who believes in Diverisfication. I am long COP, MO, MRK, DISH, and of course AGNC.

I agree with Mike and will stick with Gary. Look at their returns over the last couple of years. I am long AGNC and sold NLY a while back because they just can't keep up (levered lower, more conservative, etc.). I am looking at TWO now as they may the second best....

  • Why American Capital Agency Is A Better Buy Than Annaly Capital [View article]
Wonderful discussion. I am retiring in about 10 years and I say that AGNC is better tan NLY because of their superior managment (Gary Kain is the rising star in MReits), however, with the zero-interest rate envionment, you have to stay informed, daily, in this sector so that you can react to interest rate changes if/when they occur. Long AGNC. It's made a "LOT OF MONEY" fpr ,e over the last 5 years:

I am long on AGNC, MO, VZ, COP, YUM, and DISH.

  • Why Tobacco Bonds Are Likely To Outperform Tobacco Stocks Significantly Over The Next Decade [View article]
Altria is as good or better than GOLD in my opinion. I am a long time investor in MO and can put my teeneagers through college with the profits alone. My large stake doubled in the last 24 months. Isn't that something?
