  • Billions Will Die in the Impending Famine. Buy Ags [View instapost]
WOOOOOOOORD! To lovely rita, meter maid. The ags are screwy at best! I'm hoping for trade embargoes with cuba to be broken and to drive on sugar, that way we can grow corn without all the ridiculous nitrogen (mmm pot-ash) seeping into our UST's[not a trading symbol].

"The ags are funny sort of microeconomic elemental cyclicals, and I dont enjoy them or airline stocks!"

  • The Long Case for Gushan Environmental Energy  [View article]
Who is to say, I don't even have much faith in the ADR's or the SEC anymore. But we kind of have to, or financial markets will be even more broken than in previous history, and less fun! The cash reserves thing made a lot of sense to me, but then came a dividend cut, I believe. I took some nice profits from dubious traders who couldn't stay awake long enough to realize what 2.13 in cash means, regardless of what china says or does. Then I high tailed it out when I saw too much trading.

  • How the Gold Game Could End [View article]
"Hm. short gold aint the way to go if you're looking for fun. Still long education, and road trips. Way long. I'm averaged down more than you would think reasonably prudent. As far as the GLD goes, it might just be worse than the SKF's of this world. But only because it has a supernova behind it in FORT KNOX!"

    -J. Gramer

This guy cracks me up, so I'm spreading the word. But as a curious fifth party, how many GLD's does it take to buy fort knox? Any takers?

  • ExxonMobil (XOM), with $443B in revenue and $45B in profits, sideswipes Wal-Mart (WMT) to retake first place in the 2009 Fortune 500. Despite its misfortunes, GE (GE) moved up one spot to #5. All told, America's top 500 firms earned a collective $98.9B - down 85% from $645.2B a year ago.  [View news story]
"I kind of feel like XOM is the new Wal-Mart. No one needs to hide behind a flowery logo! Just brilliant R and D: Research and Development! Not Reading and Data mining. These guys will be finding water for somebody when the oil...aint there"

  • Ditching School Stocks [View article]
    I think I meant:

Shorting stocks is inherently boring, because its not as hard as finding long term profits. It's easy to sell shorts with cynicism, however, I find it a lackluster lifestyle.

Ps. I'm even bored with the range trading, if you can't tell. Reality needs an up-trend or a downtrend in my own opinion.

  • Ditching School Stocks [View article]
    BBBB!

Hey friend! I've been using blackboard since I wasn't old enough to drive a car. They are working on an Iphone app, I believe. Screen harder and then check the beta of BBBB and SnP since the crash. Ps gold is intensely levered in my brain...but I don't ditch the quad B's that led to a bunch of A's for myself. I enjoy hard work in interesting settings, try doing your stock screens in a coffee shop, it worked for me and the B's.

I have an odd idea that I might know Tyler Durden...or just really think I do.

I really THINK blackboard is REALLY UNDERVALUED due to excessive stock trading.

I THINK an organization like TIAA CREF could proxy them cash flows to a higher R.O.E....

  • The Long Case for Gushan Environmental Energy  [View article]
As long as the $2.13 per share in cash reserves and zero debt aren't fraudulent claims, I'm still bullish. If this was trading on the hang seng I would be more nervous, but I have faith in the ADR's and the SEC.
