Countries need to rethink the export driven economy. It is certainly better than our spending based economy, but neither a borrower or a lender be. The individual companies can hedge, but countries trying to manipulate their currencies seems to cause all kinds of problems. Even this credit crisis could be blamed to a large degree on the unwinding of the carry trade which was a symptom of the weak Yen policy.
