So you want to "sucker" people into spending more money they don't have. You truly do not understand the foundation of this tsunami - your govt convinced you to spend, spend, spend (even sending out stimulus checks saying go spend) and now we are broke - and owe trillions of dollars to other countries/creditors. So please explain to us how you expect us to pay back about $2T in debt that is adding interest expense to that every single day. How much debt do you have yourself - mtg, credit card, equity line, auto, etc etc etc?

All that matters is margins. The retailers can announce positive sales numbers for Black Friday and this holiday season, but if they are doing it with 40%, 50, 60%, 70%-off sales and they are selling their product at minimal margins, if not at a loss, then what does it really matter what the sale number comes in at?
The retailers earnings (or lack there of - aka LOSSES) are going to be a true disaster as they have way too much inventory and are trying to get it out the door, even if they are taking a loss.
