Baltic Dry Index Signals Commodity Inflation

It appears that one significant reason for the Index to be rising and costs to be higher is that there are thousands of empty freight containers sitting idle in China's ports. So, what ships are moving are able to ask higher freight shipping prices. It is appears not to be because there is a demand for more goods. There is only a demand for the limited containers and ships available to ship.
