What effect will the Fed's planned buying of long-dated treasuries do to the predictive power of the yield curve? Does the necessity of this course of action suggest that the recession will be longer than yiled curve suggested prior to the announcement, or is the fact that this artifical, non-market activity mean the pre-announcement signal was the correct one?
