  • Is The Fed Targeting Another Bubble In Stocks? [View article]
So absolutely correct that it is scary. Any institution that presides over about a 98% lose in the value of the currency over a mere 100 years (when their mandate says stability and they arbitrarily choose to interpret that as a mandate for 2% annual inflation) can't be believed on anything they say.

So, it is no wonder the vast majority of Americans view the Fed as just another corrupt institution who acts to benefit a tiny segment of the elite in society and actually does a lot of harm to the interests of the average American citizen. Misguided is nice term ... many would consider it criminal and totally self serving.

  • Sell-Off Coming - Prepare Accordingly [View article]
LOL ... "shares are mostly undervalued" ... you say. Would you care to back that up with any type of historical measure (that has worked over any time frame in market history) that would substantiate or support your claim and comment.

Bet you can't come even remotely close to any evidence or market history that would support your claim and statement. On the other hand numerous market measures that have worked for many decades show the market to be very substantially overvalued on multiple different measures. That is just a fact that any market historian can readily verify.

  • Sell-Off Coming - Prepare Accordingly [View article]
Hmmm .. maybe the Japanese Central Bank will print quadrillions of yen and buy up all the world wide stock markets and drive equity prices to the moon. Why would they care if the yen is like a Zimbabwe dollar when they own much of the claims to real assets?

  • Wall Street Breakfast: Global Banks Fined $3.4B In Forex Probe [View article]
They used to be called crooks, thieves, and criminals. And they went to jail for theft, price fixing, and manipulation to steal others money, assets, and effort. Today they are called bankers and central banks .. and they steal, price fix, and manipulate with impunity and pay governments and regulators relatively small fines to be the biggest thieves and cheats in history. There is a moral to the story .... if you are going to be a thief and a criminal .. do it big time and you will certainly get away with it and become exceedingly wealthy. Just don't be a poor thief or cheat and be dumb enough to steal food or something your family needs. Indeed, it is truly "interesting times" when historic levels of theft and criminal acts are not even considered something to be concerned about.

  • The BOJ Jumps The Monetary Shark: Now The Machines, Madmen And Morons Are Raging [View article]
Good comment and observations. What is nonsensical is why citizens of a country stand idly by and watch their currency value get destroyed.

  • Contrarian Delight: Maybe Last Chance To Invest Or Hedge With UVXY At All Time Lows [View article]
Very well summarized. ETFs such as UVXY, TVIX, etc. are for all intensive purposes scam securities. They are NOT investment products in any sense of the word. As you point out they are guaranteed to lose money over any decent time frame. At best they are a daytraders plaything, and almost nobody who knows anything about them thinks they should ever be held (traded) for more than a few days at a time. The real truth about scam products like UVXY, TVIX, etc. is that they really should not even be permitted to be listed on the stock exchanges. They have cost ill-informed investors big money losses which literally was like taking candy from a baby for the wall street pros and the ETF slippery promoters/management. If the SEC was truly any type of a watchdog for the average investor .. they would long ago have forced these types of products to be removed from the exchanges.

  • Why The Shiller P/E Is Useless [View article]
You hit the nail right on the head..... Many other valuation measures are saying exactly the same thing that Shiller PE is saying. And they have all shown historical consistency over many many decades of market history.
But none of them are short-term market timing devices. Markets can and do stay overvalued and irrational for considerable periods of time. It is no different this time and it will never be different, despite central banks massive and unprecedented efforts to distort markets and asset prices again this time around.

  • The Fed's Credit Channel Is Broken And Its Bathtub Economics Has Failed [View article]
And it is the Federal Reserve and only the Federal Reserve which has debased the US dollar by 98+% since the early 1900's and is the big enabler of inflation which they have falsely claimed is part of their mandate .. which it emphatically is NOT. They have outright lied about that for many decades and grossly abused the mandate which was given to them.
