Here's a different kinda of "technical" analysis (from an IT background).
People incorrectly view network gear the same as processors or hard drives -- interchangeable and set and forget. There's a huge software component to network management that requires a high degree of training and specialization and basically means companies are locked into CSCO. Its the same thing as relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc). A competitor might have a better product a lower price point and it's still not work it for a company to switch. CSCO will be just fine. Long.
