Remember that the aim is to produce the electrodes and not the batteries.

I bet the Board will be there with broad grins if there has been an announcement and not if there has not.

    JP,

That's true but I suspect that since Axion has no significant public profile it's quite unlikely that any Hawaiian contractor would have even contacted them.

"Nobody ever got fired for recommending IBM".

I think it's getting to the point that there must be a BIG design/sales announcement from a seriously large customer to generate enough publicity that can elevate the profile or Axion will just disappear.

    Ii,

As a weary ex construction contractor I am always VERY suspicious of RFP's that are issued with a short deadline.

In my 20+ year experience, albeit limited to a rock out in the Atlantic, short deadlines equal insider knowledge for friends and family. However maybe I was not in business long enough.

In the absence of hills/mountains how about building something like a very tall tower/elevator structure? When electricity is cheap elevate massive weights and when in demand drop the weights.

    JP,

"If you want to buy a $30 million market cap with a billion dollar potential buy AXPW."

That works out to be roughly 33 times the current share price or $5.33.

Way too small a value for my taste. I will be one of those who will eventually, hopefully, get my money back at some point and then just let the rest ride, expectantly into the Wild Blue Yonder! To sort of; Boldly go where none of my holdings have gone before!

All of the above comments are more or less probably true.

There are other inputs that will also impact the delivery schedule.

They include but are not limited to, the inverter, climate control, wiring, lighting, wifi interface, control systems, the container itself with customized paint, racking, possibly specialized flooring, fire suppression and goodness knows what else.

Then there is the question of where the cube will be assembled, inside or outdoors and of course who is going to put all this stuff into a seamless package for the client.

Loads of inputs that will require considerable help from purchasing, logistics, personnel, engineering etc etc etc.

I suspect that dozens of these PC's will have to be built before the production process becomes "cookie cutter" like.

If the current contract with BySolar works out to roughly $357 per PbC battery do you have a WAG number for the value for just the PbC electrode assembly that Axion plans to sell to first tier battery manufacturers?

  • Tesla's Q2 Earnings Will Be A Massive Disappointment [View article]
Phil Lebeau of CNBC has just reported that tesla is due to break ground on the Giga factory in a month although no one knows where the factory will be sited. California apparently is now back in the running.

I was under the impression that there were myriad planning and permitting problems when it comes to building battery plants in the US and in particular California.

I suspect that Phil L has bad info.
