  • Is Silver Wheaton's Latest Gold Stream Acquisition A Smart Deal? [View article]
When you add in the amount of Gold in the resources category, the 2m "option" money that SLW have paid, looks to be a very smart and leveraged way to gain access to this stream....If Gold rises then their gains rise with a leveraged kicker and little downside. In years to come this will be seen to be a great entry point to a great company!

  • Alasdair Macleod: "1300 Tonnes Of Gold Missing From The Bank Of England?" GATA Seeks Answers. [View instapost]
When was the last time that the USA allowed a open audit of it's gold reserves?? Why won't they allow it to happen..the US Gold belongs to US citizens and they should be allowed full access to an audit of what they own. An international body should independantly check the holdings that BOTH USA has and also the Gold held by the US for other countries...without open access to a thorough Audit how can anyone have any faith in the holdings? No wonder the German Government has asked for there's back!tc
p.s. yes i know the article here is about the BOE...but i believe there's been active collusion between govts to manipulate.

  • Rio Tinto And Turquoise Hill Hit By More Mongolian Demands [View article]
Down ANOTHER 20% today.....any reason other than capitulation trades? Does anyone know the volume traded?? If it's low then the price manipulation by potential predators may make a lot of sense. Thankfully no skin in this game as most of it would be on the road at $4 per share.....been following for 3yrs and waiting for the knife to stop falling...another 10% down from here will be my first stop,tc

  • Why Invest In Silver Miners? [View article]
As long as Silver is dug out of the ground SLW will be making good money...they're the smartest mine investors out there. Their costs are limited and their upside is geared. I'd be amazed if SLW isn't at $50 within 2 years,tc

  • Statoil: 6.12 P/E And 3.82% Dividend Yield [View article]
LOVE's a great company with very conservative management and high expertise in deep water applications, in the harhest of climates. The Govt ownership of the bulk of the shares gives excellent long term stability to the stock...i am long and buying more every month that it's at these bargain levels,tc

  • BP Is A Tempting Value Bet, But What Are The Risks And How Do You Hedge Them? [View article]
Interesting Article but as you say
    "2. Excellent trailing P/E of 6.19
BP has the second-lowest current trailing P/E in the Major Integrated oil and gas industry. With a P/E of 6.19, only Statoil (STO) beats it in this metric with a P/E of 6.11.

So why not just buy STO with no payout risks from the litigation????tc

  • Rio Tinto Getting Lean And Mean As First Oyu Tolgoi Shipments Approach [View article]
China's industrial slowdown is going to adversely affect demand for copper for the foreseeable future...The main problem will continue to be a shrinking demand for Chinese produced goods as global recession continues despite QE from many govts!! It's not the right part of the business cycle to be buying into this!tc

  • Why These 3 Oil Stocks Are Too Cheap To Ignore [View article]
STO is a great company that's very undervalued right now, it's governance is very conservative and whilst it operates globally it's base in Norway is THE safest of any country in the world to invest. Norway has massive reserves and almost no debt....compared to the UK/Japan and the USA all of which are bankrupt and just digging themselves further into debt and trying to print their way out of stagflation...owning commodoties should prove a good long term safe bet in current crazy times!

  • Why A Stock Market Bubble Is Forming Right Now [View article]
With half of the world printing cash right reminded me of a story of a friend....He was trying to light a bonfire...the wood was a little damp and his 5ft pile was just smoldering at the base, so he thought he'd help it along with just a dash of Petrol...nothing he added another dash...still nothing happened, yet another dash...this one a bit bigger..He was just about to put on a little more, when the Gas caught and he was blown 4metres backwards minus his fringe and eyebrows...For petrol read QE and for explosion read Inflation...or worse, Stagflation. With the correction in Silver and Gold insurance just got's dumb not to have some!tc
