Probably has his cronies shorting it. These Analysts remind me of guys who write horoscopes for a living. Just depends on how they feel that day. :) More than likely he is making half a million writing this BS.

    Mr. Brofman,
Any thoughts on using Portfolio Margin through Interactive Brokers to leverage CEFL, MORL and BDCL. Margin rates from IB is about 1.2% for an acct. that has over a $100,000 in equity. Thanks for any feedback. Frank

"So in the end $10,000 has become over $309,000 whilst compounding quarterly"

Shouldn't this last statement read " Whilst compounding monthly"

  • Just How Much REIT/mREIT Yield-Risk Should You Be Taking?  [View article]
Thanks for the great article. I am invested in REITS through Interactive Brokers who charge about 1.5% interest on margin. Just wondering since some of these REITS have such a high yield, eg. WMC, ARR, AGNC, TWO, EXG if it would be a good strategy to leverage my purchases through Portfolio Margin. PM is given to investors who have over a $100,000 in an account. Through PM you can leverage about 4 to 6 times in a diversified portfolio. I have hedged my portfolio with spxs which is an inverse ETF, three time the SPY.
Any thoughts on this strategy. Thanks for any responses.

Once a crook always a crook in my books. A leopard rarely changes its spots. Go after the companies like banks and insurance companies that steal billions from you, all legally.
