Interesting bit from a Heard on the Street article yesterday: "Another is ConocoPhillips' 20% stake in Russian oil major Lukoil. Public markets indicate a value of $6.2 billion. The book value of Conoco's investment was $12.9 billion at the end of the third quarter."
