  • Bernanke and Obama's Spending Schemes Could Ruin U.S. Economy [View article]
    to the author:

excellent article!!! I was one of those people who absolutely believed in the FDR's "New Deal", now not so much..

I live in a state has been working on construction on a few highway projects for the better part of 10 years. Everytime I think they are on their way to being done.. they add on or remove or change something.. and it creates a ripple effect in the other parts of the construction project and then a few more years are "required", according to them, to finish these projects.

I have finally figured out why, my state is among the highest in the state in terms of unemployment, and the same democrat politicians retain power. They, the democrats in power, use these infrastructure project to promise work, and everytime it is near being done, more "improvements" are added, and then this is what voters to vote for the democratic politicians who promise this stuff

b/c really, how many major "improvements" do these highways need within 10 years? and it comes down to jobs, once the projects are complete... the jobs are over..they use the promise of "improvements" to promise jobs to lure voters, but these are all government jobs. And the govt in my state has gotten so huge, and it is driving all the private companies, who actually make something and pay for the state govt, to go somewhere else b/c the state taxes have gotten so high. the state govt, democrat, wants to squeeze so much taxes out of the ever shrinking number of private companies in my state, I don't blame these private companies for moving somewhere else.

Yes, and I say this as a recovering liberal, someone who voted democrat consistently for my entire voting record, the democrats are using this "stimulus" as a power grab (and yes, I have huge issues with the repubs as well)

but bravo to the author! I absolutely am fearful we will be experiencing hyperinflation in the very very near future and we have 2 incompetent inexperienced people people in charge, near ever run a private business, or really held a private sector job!
