Midas1....Sounds like you have never owned anything but Toyota and the only experience you have had with an American brand was a rental. I have owned Toyota and Honda as well as GM and Ford. I have found Ford to be as good or better than most, and it is all American. I have a 1995 Windstar ( I love it) a 2003 Explorer ( I love it) and I am in the process to buy a 2013 Escape.
