Since quitting the dayjob at 50, I make my living by spreadbetting on UK stocks. Mostly via quarterly bets (though frequently increasing/decreasing the stake, to bank gains along the way) or via same-day bets which might last hours or minutes. I do this actively in the four winter months Nov-Dec-Jan-Feb, but only on occasional rainy days during Mar-Oct. I bet long and short, but most of my best gains come from downbets.

Webstershire Not strictly a blog, but a website which I run like a blog. At present it offers a superb investment opportunity for anyone interested in property renovation. A house for sale at offers over £55,000 and which would likely sell for around £125,000 after spending say £30,000 on it. I am cashing it in now (rather than progressing it myself) because I want the cash, and the time, for something else.
