Cramer's Stop Trading! (12/12/08) Absence of Panic

I think the business that need to see the handwriting on the wall is the unions and their management, people seem to forget the unions are a business not entirely looking out for what is best for their membership, major companies have the full right to pack up and go somewhere out of the reach of the union, and they will in order to survive and turn a profit, accepting pay cuts is a big pill to swallow but it is where we as a country have arrived, as sad as it may be, as long as we as a country are forced to compete with less fortunate countries with obscenely low labor rates all manufacturing companies be it of cars or planes are doomed at some point, it scares me to death what will become of the US once we have no ability to manufacture any product. I can agree with the fear Cramer has displayed more than once about Boeing, for now I think they are a safe bet but is only a matter of time before China or Mexico builds a Air Plane manufacturing facility either owned by Boeing or a entirely new player in the Plane business.
