JP, Would you consider the 2012 placement investors to be "retail"? And what percentage of them do you estimate to still be in Axion?
I ask this in case that's where our bread is buttered again this month; also I assumed Axion's inability to find a pps floor had to do with that group's selling stock (rather than an Axonista exodus).
Chris, If that indeed happens - then the stock should respond if/when the product actually ships. I'm not a cart before the horse kind of guy. I'd prefer contracts over MoUs. The story seems ahead of itself (at best). If you're a proponent at these levels I'd assume you'd expect the 240M in revenue to come within a year, that'd be quite a feat indeed.
Even if Uni-Pixel is somewhere between an upstart company and a scam wouldn't the valuation alone make one want to stand clear?
For example UNXL market cap is above that of KOPN (a company that provides display technology to different oems).
I can maybe see a P/S ratio of 3+ but not the 3000 it is now+; even if Uni-Pixel does land the TI and DELL contracts - they still are looking at revenues in 10-20 million range (not 100M+) thus their market cap seems to have an extra zero on it. imho
That quote sounds like an MoU agreement. Not that those mean too much.
>>A memorandum of understanding (MoU) is a document describing a bilateral or multilateral agreement between two or more parties. It expresses a convergence of will between the parties, indicating an intended common line of action. It is often used in cases where parties either do not imply a legal commitment or in situations where the parties cannot create a legally enforceable agreement. It is a more formal alternative to a gentlemen's agreement.
Why Bitcoin's Rise Is Nothing To Celebrate [View article]
Agreed. However you will notice that the few vendors who accept bitcoins normally look at it from a number of coins perspective and not a dollar amount exchange perspective. That's why some people will seemingly pay 10x more than they would have months ago but in reality there is only a small finite number of vendors who accepts bitcoins and they base their exchanges on total bitcoin production (ie mining) and not on exchange value.

Karl,
In light of the conversation on component supplies, do you have a take on Unipixel (see below link)? Is it likely they landed a huge DELL deal as the rumor mill suggests. You seem very knowledge of display technologies so I was wondering if these guys have a credible reputation in the engineer circles you frequent.

Geo,
I agree that the worst case this is likely a mid 2s but I don't think you'll see any insider purchases at these levels. This was a great pick but I'm not so sure it runs back to the near 300% that you had in hand.
I will dollar cost in some more if it fades from here. Otherwise thank you for the great run so far. Imho - 10xEPs usually is about fair for undiscovered names although there will be times it sells for twice that (or half).
Yup, $39 bucks for 6 bottles of decent table wine - not bad. Especially since you'll have a 10 credit to get the deal again for $39. Also I'd think this would make a great gift for those who don't value wine even at this reduced rate. Most of my friends would think this a great present or maybe I now can go to 6 dinner events and never appear empty handed =)

JR, TG and Axion don't control stock price. You as an investor (and others) do. If you were to drop in 100k at market tomorrow it'd go up - I assure you. As far as winning the game, I doubt it's even halftime yet and certainly not a playoff do or die game. Axion has multiple irons in the fire.

I hope you dig deeper on this one. You may be surprised. I did enjoy your "reefer madness" articles.
