Sign up an account this week???? Not so. While I am not an avid poster and long time member of this blog, I signed up last December (check the dates on my prior posts). You, however, have 5 posts logged, all from the last week. Who is the one who just joined? The fact of the matter is, I am dissatisfied with the product (as I am finding many are). But I don't think anything I say will have any effect, go ahead and dis me and anyone who has a different opinion while ignoring the issues raised. My only question was what are they doing to hold on to current subcribers. As a current subcriber, I don't see they are doing anything.

All I know is the product has been declining over the last 8 months and I for one will soon be an ex-subscriber. Quality of programming has fallen sharply and I often find nothing I want to listen to over the some 10 stations on my car radio. I am listening to CDs more and more in the car and have switched to Pandora.com on my laptop at the office (and I absolutely love it - Google the article - Serious threats to Sirius radio and you'll find many more internet-based radios that are gaining in popularity). I have sent 6 emails and 2 paper letters to SiriusXM noting my displeasure and frustration as a paying subscriber and only received one reply (4 months after the letter). It seems to me they don't care about the subscribers much. I'm wondering how much the recent loss of subscribers is due to the auto industry and how much is their lack of concern for the current subscriber base.

The point here is if they aren't listening to the subscribers concerns, where will the stock price plummet? The continued success of SiriusXM revolves around the refinance or restructure of their debt, integration and cost savings, and growing the subscriber base. If they won't listen to the concerns of existing subscribers to the point of losing them, how are they going to replace them and meet their targets of new subscribers? My gripe, along with the dissatisfaction with the format changes, is the lack of response to my emails and letters. I don't want nor need to have my ego stroked, just the knowledge that my concerns have been heard. Even a simple reply that says they understand but that's life is better than no reply at all.

As my previious post notes, I am not happy with the changes but.... this post is hardly worth the effort you made. Too much airplay? Your own posting list a song that's played once a day! What is worthwhile? Once a month? Once a year?

I totally agree! I listened to Sirius Blues about 80% of the time. It's been replace by Bluesville and I hate it. There are numerous songs and artists I haven't heard since. Bluesville tends to play alot of Delta Style blues and acoustic blues and they do quite a bit of promotion of new artists. I prefer electric and chicago style and they don't get much play anymore. Sirius Blues did a pretty good job in integrating all the styles but Bluesville does not. I've sen the same with many other stations that have been replaced. The 50's, 60's 70's and 80's stations are not as good as they were and I do miss the The Vault as other posters have noted. Ihave sent 4 emails and 2 snail mails to Sirius/XM without a single reply. They obviously don't give a s**t about the loyal listeners. I'm paid up until my lease expires on June and won't be back.
