Interesting numbers. What no one is saying is that the picture remains grim for Sony. Despite slashing prices to the bone on the PlayStation 3, it is failing to catch up on Microsoft. That means that the PS3 installed base will continue to lag far behind that for the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii, making a far less tempting target for developers. No developers - no software. No software, no profits. Sony is hemorrhaging money on the hardware side, with each PS3 it sells merely pushing it further into the red.
