It is a well known fact that when markets are overbought, it dangerous to enter. This is because, the market has a way of correcting itself of this anomaly. When there is an overbought, the danger is that the novice investor might enter at the wrong price, and get their fingers burnt when the market correction begins.

I really don't believe that the US economy will pick up so soon in 2009, With the fall in crude oil price, US might really be happy about it, but what of the other countries like Asia, Africa and Europe? Most of these countries' economies are tied around the oil price in the international markets, and a serious cut in the price of oil, means a lot of things to their own economies. Most of these oil producing countries fix their annual budget on the price of oil, and a continued fall in the prices will negatively affect their budgets and their economies.
Moreover, you can't expect the market to rebound over night after a long bear run. Definitely, the market will rebound, but it is going to be a gradual process.
What a name "vulture investing", Vultures can really wait long for their food, which s dead and decayed meat, and when they land, they don't have competitors because no one else will be interested in sharing a decayed meat. So no one will blame these 'vulture investors", this is their style of business, and as long as they have the cash to invest and bring life to the ailing company, to me, it is better than allowing those companies to die.
