Apparently you and I have some experience around this arena. I wasn't particularly aiming at your comment, just trying to spread a note of caution. And, make note of the fact that I don't like Casey and his crew...however, I do read some of the posts there. I would love to find a rock with some gold in it or a nugget even...I even dream of buying a metal detector and looking for Centenarios down in Mexico (where I live).

Doug Casey is a con man running one of the biggest digital "Three Card Monty" games that ever came down the pike. All his minions and hucksters could be working carnival side shows in another century.

I do believe there is much money to be made...or saved by investing in PMs and those mining them. I own gold and buy and sell when the mood hits me.

I also believe opinions harvested on "Kitco" will ultimately leave you standing on a deserted corner with empty pockets, while the games has swiftly moved to another corner across town. These guys are all selling something and skilled in the game, and remember the key word in the game is "Confidence".

Aren't these outfits a lot like lending companies, financing PM operations in exchange for the future ore production marketing rights. Sort of like hedging with long futures. Question is, can they short the markets on their own accounts. Do they have the hefty payouts as, say, oil royalty trusts or REITs. I have owned SLW often in the past and still do....But, I have never noticed payouts...I just try to buy low and sell high (PTL).

I tend to believe gold and silver will go much higher....but, I don't know that....just bet that way.

How do you cook rice....and beans when there is no fuel. It taste horrible when cooked over smoldering camel dung. As I understand it, there will be no trees after a couple of months into the anarchy. Maybe a heated argument can be found along the road.
