I live and work(ed) in rural western NY state, close enough to Chautauqua Institution www.CIweb.org to sample in summer some of the advantages of city life without having to deal with the congestion, etc... I'm recently retired as a ceramic engineer, but have enjoyed a parallel career in freelance writing, which still keeps me occupied. That is, when I'm not online playing with my stocks.
