  • Rare Apple Misstep Creates Opportunity For Nokia [View article]
Thank you for your article, Chris!
I am long NOK and waiting to add more on a pull back. I consider the bad is already priced in and the windows 8 could be the perfect catalyst for nokia's lumia line. There are lots of people who will try the 920 and 820 only because they are sick of android lag or ios limitations. The big problem remains nokia's poor marketing.

UncleSherpalot, you are so right. Nokia don't have to compete with apple ( a company worth almost 70 times more) but as the author stated, only comparing lumia 920 with iphone 5 is an immense step forward for nokia. Unfortunately they seems to have some marketing problems but microsoft could provide the solution in proper advertising windows 8.
    Have a good day!

There are more and more people ex-iphone users that are bored of apple's limitations and high price/performance ratio of its products.

Apple products are overbought because of their "cool/stylish" effect but that is beginning to fade away.
People will soon search for something new and apple failed to deliver it. Iphone 5 is the best proof.
I've just read an article about people camping in front of a store to buy the iphone5. Something is plain wrong and we can only hope things will change.

Your are right, for now. But if MSFT is trying enough Windows 8 & phone 8 will become a stronger ecosystem than apple's. There are far more pcs out there than macs. That's a fact. Once people will figure out how to use/sync their phone, surface tablet and the pc they already have I think the things will change. We shall wait and see.

  • The iPhone 5 (AAPL -0.1%) is announced. It's 7.6mm thick and weighs just 112 grams - that makes it 18% thinner and 20% lighter than the iPhone 4S. As expected, it has a 4" retina display (still much smaller than many Android phones), A6 processor (said to be 2x faster than the A5), and 4G LTE support. Apple also boasts the new display delivers better image quality thanks to its use of in-cell touch panels. (live blog) (more[View news story]
    are you ironic?
Is there a reason someone should upgrade to iphone 5, because I fail to find one. I think the consumers are getting bored...
