        <![CDATA[There is a lot of bad reporting out there. The US does not export oil, it exports finished products like diesel because demand has fallen below refining capacity. The fact is that the easy to find, easy to drill stuff is on its way out. Read the Hirsch Report which was buried by congress a few years back.  Costs to find and extract oil are going up, the integrated oils will be spending more to make less.  Oil service companies will be minting money.  I've got my eye on IEZ. ]]>

But in a taxable account, I find the 5%+ tax free sustainable yield and low volatility to be a compelling replacment for munis, which in my mind, are almost as dangerous as treasuries at this point.  ]]>
