  • American Realty Capital Properties: Digital Realty Deja Vu [View article]
Adam , thanks for another great article.. and interesting comment stream.. i have been investing in real estate for over 30 years, commercial and residential buildings.. real estate besides the metrics is all about location, location, location . not much in this comment stream talks about location. was just traveling and the building that housed a red lobster is now rented to a health care network provider outpatient facility.. maybe arcp has a different future plan than what meets the eye presently.. just my two cents for what its worth... just purchased more arcp at $11.90. holding on for long term investment.. peace, ralph

  • A High Income Portfolio For A More Prosperous Retirement [View article]
Bob thanks for another great article.. my question is , I have about 5 to 7 years before distribution, presently not taking any distributions from my ira.. I own some of the securities that are listed and reinvest all divi in the same security.. do you think at this time it is best to take divi and put them in cash acct of ira rather than invest in same security's creating some money to purchase other security's when money accumulates. peace ralph

  • Crisis In Ukraine: What Now For U.S. Stocks? [View article]
i have read this on foreign news.. Im not sure i beleive it and this may even sound crazy but the way Putin looks at it, in a sense Russia is using the USA Monroe doctrine but in reverse to benefit them. They are on there own soil, the USA and Nato have moved troops into the Ukraine, to them that appears to be a act of aggression..
Monroe Doctrine definition. A statement of foreign policy issued by President James Monroe in 1823, declaring that the United States would not tolerate intervention by European nations in the affairs of nations in the Americas.

  • Russia escalates tensions over Ukraine [View news story]
Russia in Crimean, is like the U.S. in Quantanamo Bay.. Russia has a vested interest there which the news media will not cover. I find it interesting how 6-7 weeks ago McCain was in the Ukraine, spreading democracy, then came the uprising.... peace

  • Buying A Dip In A Dividend Growth Stock [View article]
BHN, thanks for the return comment. I use the rsi the same way you use it, fundamentals first , except ,- and I am not saying this is correct- I have sometimes use RSI 27 or less. I found for example that some divi aristocrats rarely go below about 26/28. ie. KO for the last two years barely broke 27. not sure if this is the correct way to use this indicator but it seems to work for those types of divi stocks, at least for me. Peace, ralph

  • Buying A Dip In A Dividend Growth Stock [View article]
BHN, when you are using the RSI what range do you use as a potential buy.. I just started using the indicator and had purchased PM at RSI= 18.35 and also MO at 18.4 on Feb 3 ... I think/guess I used it correctly. but is there a range that you would use, maybe below 35 as start of buying ,,as long as fundamentals are good ? thanks for your insight. peace, ralph

  • My Fourth Quarter Portfolio Review [View article]
hello Bob, thanks for another great article always enjoy reading and you like your insight.. making 16% quick like on UNS is fantastic..Would like to know your thoughts , I have held STO for a 1 year and I am up about 25% capitol appreciation. dividends are paid once a would take me a few years of dividends at 3.4% to equal today's capitol appreciation if sold. was thinking about selling, what would you do or do you have a rule that you follow. thanks in advance. peace, ralph
