Chipotle Mexican Grill: A Distinguished Spin-off With Great Potential [View article]
well the shares sell for slightly over 2x sales which i believe is a good buy. also i believe the nearly 600 units in operation produce nearly $3 per share in pretax operation profits. With me this is all about the quality ingredinets, evolving to be organic. The main competitor in fast casual is Panera, but all they bring to the table is pomp and show orangy-yellow fing shu painted walls and white flour filler crud at 40 cents a pound. CMG on the other hand brings substance quality ingredients. Thats why i think what while PNRA has twice as many units (est) 1050 vs. 550, that ultimatly CMG will end up with the 2,000-5,000 unit prize. I suspect this is Taco Bell generation 2, and a well run McDonalds style back office to produce profitable growth. this is less CMG vs. TACO Bell (yum) and more MCD vs. PNRA. After the recent $10 sell off from $62 to $52 the shares have and upgrade driven $5 bounce with a little $2 profit taking. there no reason to think the bounce off $52 will not be atleast $10+, considering brokerage house targets above $70. cavet, my one concern is why did the shares run out of steam so early on the charts around $62 last Novemeber rather then touching $70-ish? thoughts?
